Teresa Erasmus Attorneys was established in 1995 by Teresa Erasmus and has since its inception established itself in the Family, Employment, and Commercial fields of law and is a dynamic small firm practicing from its offices in Stellenbosch. We are up to date with all current legislation and case law of the most important laws and with this experience and knowledge the firm guarantees its clients superb legal advice and assistance. At Teresa Erasmus Attorneys we pride ourselves in providing our clients with practical business orientated advice drawn from years of experience in legal practice and industry often extending beyond the direct legal matter at hand with practical advice not only on solving existing problems but also on identifying and minimizing future risks.

Teresa Erasmus

Laywer

Teresa Erasmus holds a BA.LLB degree through the University of Stellenbosch, as well as an Advanced Labour Law Certificate and an Advanced Pension Funds Law Certificate from the University of South Africa (UNISA).

Teresa is an admitted attorney with the right to appear in the High Court, a fellow of the of the Association of Arbitrators, an accredited Family Law Mediator and Facilitator, FAMAC, Workplace and Employment Law Mediator, and UK Accredited Commercial Mediator, ADR Group. Since becoming an accredited CCMA Commissioner in 2004, Teresa has served on the panel of various dispute resolution Councils. Since the foundation of Teresa Erasmus Attorneys on the 3rd of January 1995, Teresa has practiced as a sole proprietor and provides her clients with assistance in the areas of Labour Law, Commercial Law, Construction Law, and Family and Divorce Law. Committed to providing personal service of integrity and focused on developing relationships based on trust, Teresa ensures that all her work is done efficiently, effectively, and within the prescribed time frame.

Hanno Erasmus

Paralegal

Hanno is employed as paralegal at Teresa Erasmus Attorneys while he continues with his third year of LLB studies at the University of South Africa (UNISA).

He commenced employment with the practice in the beginning of 2021, shortly after completing his Higher Certificate in law cum laude in 2020. Hanno attended school in Stellenbosch and received his matric certificate from Paul Roos Gymnasium in the year of 2016. In 2019 he obtained a TEFL teaching certificate and spent time teaching English at public schools and language centres in Vietnam. The conservation of nature is a large focus for Hanno, having completed the FGASA level 1 field guide course in the Greater Kruger he followed this path of nature conservation by completing a short course in Environmental Law through UNISA in 2018. Hanno aspires to be an Environmental Lawyer and is focusing on expanding Teresa Erasmus Attorneys into the current world of Sustainability and Conservation.
