Teresa Erasmus Attorneys was established in 1995 by Teresa Erasmus and has since its inception established itself in the Family, Employment, and Commercial fields of law and is a dynamic small firm practicing from its offices in Paarl. We are up to date with all current legislation and case law of the most important laws and with this experience and knowledge the firm guarantees its clients superb legal advice and assistance. At Teresa Erasmus Attorneys we pride ourselves in providing our clients with practical business orientated advice drawn from years of experience in legal practice and industry often extending beyond the direct legal matter at hand with practical advice not only on solving existing problems but also on identifying and minimising future risks.

Teresa Erasmus

Attorney

Teresa Erasmus holds a BA.LLB degree through the University of Stellenbosch, as well as an Advanced Labour Law Certificate and an Advanced Pension Funds Law Certificate from the University of South Africa (UNISA).

Teresa is an admitted attorney with the right to appear in the High Court, a fellow of the of the Association of Arbitrators, an accredited Family Law Mediator and Facilitator, FAMAC, Workplace and Employment Law Mediator, and UK Accredited Commercial Mediator, ADR Group.

Since becoming an accredited CCMA Commissioner in 2004, Teresa has served on the panel of various dispute resolution Councils.

Since the foundation of Teresa Erasmus Attorneys on the 3rd of January 1995, Teresa has practiced as a sole proprietor and provides her clients with assistance in the areas of Labour Law, Commercial Law, Construction Law, and Family and Divorce Law.

Committed to providing personal service of integrity and focused on developing relationships based on trust, Teresa ensures that all her work is done efficiently, effectively, and within the prescribed time frame.

Hanno Erasmus

Associate

Hanno joined Teresa Erasmus Attorneys in 2021. He completed his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree through the University of South Africa (UNISA) in 2024, was admitted as a candidate attorney in December 2024, and was admitted as an attorney in March 2026.

Hanno joined Teresa Erasmus Attorneys in February 2021 as a paralegal while completing his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree through the University of South Africa (UNISA). He obtained his LLB in December 2024 and was admitted as a candidate attorney that same
month. In 2025, he successfully completed his Practical Vocational Training Course through the Law Society of South Africa.

Admitted as an attorney of the High Court of the Republic of South Africa in March 2026, Hanno brings dedication, integrity, and a strong commitment to professional excellence to the firm.

Beyond law, he is a qualified FGASA Level 1 nature guide with a deep passion for environmental conservation. In 2019, after obtaining his TEFL certificate, he travelled to Vietnam, where he taught English at public schools and language centres. Hanno completed
his schooling at the prestigious Paul Roos Gymnasium in Stellenbosch, an experience that helped instil the discipline and principled approach he brings to his legal practice.

His diverse background in law and environmental conservation enables him to make valuable and well-rounded contributions to the firm’s mission.
